United Airlines, partner of Lufthansa and founding member of Star Alliance, has been offering service from Chicago and Washington, D.C. to Frankfurt for 20 years and is proud of having flown 13.7 million passengers between these cities by now. When starting to operate the nonstop B767-200 service to Chicago and Washington in 1990, United offered up to 400 seats daily from Germany. Servicing these two destinations with five daily flights the airline offers today more than 1,300 seats. Nonstop service from Munich to Chicago and Washington, D.C. as well as a nonstop Frankfurt-San Francisco service complete our operation in which Boeing B777-200, B767-300 and B747-400 aircrafts are being used.

The 20th anniversary special fare includes a discount of more than 20 percent to commemorate the new service that started 20 years ago. The airline offers a fare of €444 to Chicago and Washington which can be booked throughout the travel trade show ITB between March 10th and 16th, 2010. The fare applies for travel to Chicago and Washington, D.C. for departures until December 15th, 2010 excluding high season dates. United Airlines operates approximately 3,300 flights a day on United and United Express to more than 230 U.S. domestic and international destinations from its hubs in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, Chicago and Washington, D.C. United also is a founding member of Star Alliance, which provides connections for their customers to 1,077 destinations in 175 countries worldwide. United offers eight flights a day from Germany to the US, six leaving out of Frankfurt plus two out of Munich (daily to Chicago and Washington). Destinations from Frankfurt include Washington DC (3 daily flights), Chicago (2 daily flights) and San Francisco.
